In business over 20+ years, we have the benefit of experience, unique perspective, extensive technical knowledge and marketing expertise to be able to help out a wide range of small and medium businesses.

This Terms of Service – FAQ page therefore clearly defines your prospective relationship with us before becoming a client, your existing client relationship with us, and what we do and do not offer / provide.

PROSPECTIVE CLIENTS:

  • Contact Us: You have the absolute right to contact us either via text or phone to request a FREE 20 minute consult to see if we are the right fit for you and your business situation.
  • How Long is 20 Minutes: 20 minutes is exactly that. It is 20 minutes. We are super busy providing high caliber services to our paying clients and cannot give you more than 20 minutes for your FREE consult.
  • Focus: Make use of your FREE 20 minute consult wisely. Kindly refrain from chit chatting with us about your personal problems, your kids, what is not fair in life, etc. Kindly focus on whatever aspect of your business that you initially contacted us about. In business, success is based upon focus.
  • Evaluation: During our 20 minute conversation, provided your focus is on your business issue, we will evaluate that issue, whatever it may be. We will point out the areas where we feel you are weak and could benefit the most from our assistance.
  • Free Advice?: We will not, however, give you free advice on what is wrong and what you need to do to fix it. We give you an evaluation, which you can take back to your significant other, your partners, your team, etc. and decide if we are a good fit for your particular business needs.
  • What We Can Do: We will also give you a quote of what our services will run you, an approximate timeframe when you should see results, and a frank assessment of what we will do.
  • Not in The Budget?: If you cannot afford our quote, we understand. Most prospective clients do not think twice about our quote. They know what it takes to get a business back on track and prosperous again and they just go with it. Not everyone thinks the same.
  • Change of Heart?: For those of you who are uncomfortable with our quote, who are looking for an instant fix, who are looking for a band-aid, or who genuinely cannot afford our services, we get it! No hard feelings ever! You know where to find us in the future if you should change your mind.
  • What?! You Don’t Work for Free?: Please do not ask us to perform our services for free. We are not a “good neighbor”, we are not a “friend”, and we do not perform our services for free. Kindly do not wheedle, whine and bemoan the fact that we do not provide free services. It is not only super unpleasant but is also completely unprofessional on your end, and, it wastes whatever is left of your 20 minutes. If you truly need free services, we highly recommend you contact your local SCORE office.
  • Rescheduling: If you schedule an appointment with us, and are a no-show, and do not call or text us to let us know your schedule changed or you have changed your mind about our appointment, please do not suddenly show up at our door whenever you happen to be in the neighborhood. Our business requires scheduling, and if you would like to reschedule, call or text us at 201.753.1677 and we will be happy to accommodate you.

Maureen McCullough LLC is a business who runs itself as a well structured business, who charges a reasonable fee for all services provided, and who gives all clients the very best service possible as well as the most positive experience, as is evidenced by our many 5 star reviews and long-time satisfied clients.

TERMINATION OF SERVICES:

  • Of course we realize that for a very few clients throughout our 20+ year history, it’s just not working out. It happens and we understand.
  • You are required to give us a one month (30 days) heads up in writing (via email) stating your intentions to permanently terminate our services with you.
  • You are required to pay for that last month after emailing us your intentions to permanently terminate our service with you. You will be billed as normal for that last month.
  • If you are moving on with another business or endeavor, this billing covers the shut down of your website, your hosting account, your domain name(s), Google My Business page, Google Analytics, Google Search Console, and if you choose, social media business accounts.
  • All logins and passwords for website back ends, social media, etc. etc. are turned over to you.
  • We are under no obligation to show you what to do or “help” you with anything further.

REFUNDS FOR WEBSITE SERVICES OR BOOTCAMP Courses:

  • Bootcamp and Online School Courses: All courses are personalized to your particular website and business. These are not canned, generic courses. When you sign up for a bootcamp course, you are notified in writing via email when your course will start. You have the option to request a refund BEFORE that written start date. Once the course has started, we cannot offer refunds. f you need to reschedule your Bootcamp course(s) for any reason that is fine as long as you notify us via text or email BEFORE the written start date. You will be rescheduled.
  • Website Services: Clients are given a written contract for services performed. In rare instances a contract is not issued. Regardless, the client has 20 days to request a full refund as long as services have not begun. If services have begun, the client has the right to a pro-rated refund within that 20 day refund timeline. The 20 day timeline is defined from the day the client pays for the service. This is in full compliance with the New Jersey Consumer Refund Law. Refunds are not given for any website service older than 30 days that have been or have not been utilized by the client.

REPAIR FEES:

  • Sometimes on websites things break. In rare instances hacking happens. We troubleshoot to find out what all happened and keep you informed. This is an extremely rare occurrence as we generally have mechanisms in place to prevent this. However, nothing is perfect and at times things break. Sometimes there is a PHP language issue, sometimes a plugin or a theme becomes broken, or some plugins become incompatible resulting in a broken website. Sometimes there is a change on the server over which we have no control. We keep our repair fees to the absolute bare minimum and yes, it is necessary to charge them in extreme cases like these. Again, we keep these fees to a bare minimum. In over 25 years of business, we have dealt with broken websites that we built less than a handful of times. It should be noted that if the client is a monthly client on retainer, repair fees are not charged. 

CURRENT CLIENTS:

  • The Golden Rule: Maureen McCullough LLC treats our clients as we would want to be treated.
  • Ballpark quotes / numbers vs. Written Quotes: In conversation with you, we may give you ballpark quotes on a particular service. Exactly in the same way an electrician or plumber may say well, it could run you around “X” but we need to look at the job first. This is in no way to be misconstrued as an actual firm, etched in stone quote. ALL QUOTES are given in writing, agreed to and signed off and are legally binding. No ballpark quotes or numbers are legally binding.
  • Let’s Make a Deal: If you are looking for a deal on a particular service that is not already wrapped up in your service package that you have with us, please be advised that Maureen McCullough LLC does not do “deals”.
  • Excellence: It is the company policy and cornerstone of Maureen McCullough LLC to give our clients 110% and to provide them with the best possible experience they can ever have no matter what services we are providing them with!! Our customer retention rate is over 90% with many long time clients still on board.
