On entry popups, on exit popups, and in the middle of their shopping popups are a wonderful way to literally annoy the hell out of customers. If you want to offer a coupon, have it worked into your shopping cart process. If you want them to sign up for your newsletter, again, work that into the shopping cart process. Let them shop in peace, put what they want in the shopping cart and go to checkout. Multiple popups have no place in the process. Popups should offer value to the shopper, not aggravate them.
