When I design your digital graphics — whether for your website, social media, or presentations — I build them in the RGB color system to ensure they look vibrant, accurate, and professional on every screen. My clients never have to worry about dull colors or mismatched designs online, because I handle the technical details and make sure your brand is presented at its best in every digital space.
RGB – acronym for Red Green Blue - this is a digital coloring system and it is used for:
- Websites
- Social media
- Digital advertisements
- Mobile apps
- On screen presentations
- Any screen-based content
How RGB Works:
- RGB is an additive color model, which means the colors are created by adding red, green, and blue light together.
- When all three colors are at full intensity, they create white; when no light is emitted, it appears black.
- The range of colors in RGB is wider and more vibrant than in print.
- RGB color range: 3 channels (R, G, B) with 256 possible colors for each channel; in total, 16,277,216 colors.
Why RGB Does Not Work for Printing:
- RGB colors are made with light, being purely digital. Print colors are made with ink.
- Some of the vibrant colors in RGB – hot pink, neon green, electric blue – cannot be reproduced accurately in CMYK.
- Designs created initially in RGB must be converted to CMYK before printing to avoid color mismatches.
- Any responsible graphic designer will do this to ensure that you get a high quality print result.
