Foundation

It all starts with an in-depth consultation.

We have a discussion. By asking targeted questions, I learn about you, what you do now, what it is you want to do, why you are looking for a different / new job. I get to know your background, history, and goals for the future. I learn about you because I care about you.

I explain my process in detail. I use a construction analogy that fits quite well: knock the house down to the studs, leave the foundation, and build your “house” up again into something new, wonderful and much better fitting for your future.

Accomplish

A great deal of research is involved in my process to make your value proposition to your next employer fit like a glove. Correct, relevant industry terminology is critical. This along with your actual accomplishments, achievements and history becomes a highly relevant ATS friendly résumé, cover letter, LinkedIn profile (if purchased), career strategy, and more.

A committed client is one who is willing to invest in their future. They have to see the value in doing so, it is not something I need to or should “convince” them of. And I do not try. This commitment has to come from the heart of the client.

Once we have agreed to work together, payment is made and we can get to work. The client submits their old résumé to me and any additional information they would like me to know. I encourage this as too much information is more beneficial to me than not enough. It gives me more to work with.

Rebrand

This is where all of the research, writing, and fine-tuning comes together into an unmistakable picture of your value proposition. What you bring to the table, what makes you a strong contributor, and why the right employer should take notice.

Your final résumé version is reviewed with a critically constructive set of eyes until we both approve of the final copy. The supporting pieces are built around your story: your cover letter (not always necessary but nice to have in your back pocket), your fully revamped LinkedIn profile (if purchased), and your personalized step-by-step guides for interview preparation and job searching on Indeed and LinkedIn.

Each guide comes with its own 30 minute Zoom consultation. We walk through the process together and make sure you know how to use everything effectively.
